After the bus fiasco I was thankful to have the truck to drive on Tuesday, although I spent most of the day at the hairdressers! The salon is lovely, I had my hair done here last year and they did a beautiful job on the colour, so I showed them the photos, they also had my details on file, so absolutely no reason why The colour shouldn’t have been the same, except that it isn’t!! It’s close but not close enough, it looks a little lack lustre to me, darker  I wanted and the cuts a little ‘fluffy’ but what can you do? Suck it up, smile, pay then go home and have a little cry.

After Rebecca and Chris got home from work, Rebecca and I went out for a lovely Mum and daughter drink by the beach. It was fabulous to have a few hours just chatting and being together. We wanted to watch the sunset but the weather had other ideas, more rain, strong winds and clouds, but being the typical English people we are, we still sat outside (under an awning) being dropped on watching the storm! We then went home had a lovely family meal and watched the last of our Lord of the Rings films, well myself  Georgia & Grantley did, Rebecca and Chris had to ditch it halfway through to get some sleep! It’s aloud long film 😳

Today is my last day in Bunbury and so I decided to give the Whales one last chance themselves! There is a fantastic Whale lookout down at Cape Natraliste, there where lots of Whales spotted on Sunday, so I was pretty hopeful. Georgia & Grantley came with me and we set of for the 90 minute drive at 8.30. The weather was looking good when we set off but got slightly less pleasant as we approached the Cape. We were pretty lucky  and the rain held off while we walked to the Lookout point and for the nearly 2hrs we stood there looking out at the vast, apparently Whale free Ocean!! Nothing, nada, not a bloody thing! I swear the Whales have conspired against me. I had visions of them all going past us deep under water giving me the finger!! It was not to be I leave Australasia Whaleless. 😢

Apart from the  lack of Whales it has been fantastic here. I’ve loved being with my Gorgeous Family, having adventures, relaxing and just being together! I’m so proud of them all. The life that Rebecca and Chris have made for themselves here is amazing, they work so hard and have achieved so much and their journey continues. Georgia has had an up and down year but has bounced back, made changes and is doing brilliantly. Grantley has also worked hard this year and is about to embark on his next chapter, University, studying a subject that he loves and that he excels in, he is going to smash it!

Im now sitting at Perth Airport waiting to board my flight to Singapore, then on to London before starting my next adventure in Italy! I’ll be sharing this part with the fabulous Alison and the wonderful Hayley. Can’t wait for the Italian sunshine!

For now I’m going to drink my Jack Daniels and try to enjoy my 18hrs of flying!! 😬😳

See you on the other Side!!

xx
