Home

I had a very busy day in Stevenage catching up with as many people as I could in the short time I had!

Thank you so much guys for making time to come and see me, it meant a lot. ❤️

I also picked up my car, which started first time, thank you Anne! And thank you Laura from saving it from being towed and destroyed! 😘😘

After doing so much walking on this trip and apart from pain from my arthritis, not having any problems I have managed to hurt my knee on my first day in the UK…..Dooh! 🤦‍♀️

I stayed the night at Tracey’s and Jacques made gorgeous stuffed peppers and tomatoes, delicious, and a yummy Lemon Drizzle Cake! I am taking some home and also some for Grantley.

The weather is absolutely shite today, heavy rain and storms so the drive to Cornwall is going to be fun, not. I shall just take it very slowly.

My drive was going ok until I stopped at the services and when I got back to the car I noticed that one of the wipers was twisted and broken! I managed to figure out the problem and fix it, at this point it wasn’t raining, thank god.

I had a fantastic visit with Grantley in Bristol having almost managed to run him over in the car Park!! 😳😀

He has settled into Uni really well and his accommodation is great, he had even managed to do some proper cooking. He was thrilled to have a delivery of Stuffed tomatoes and lots of Lemon Drizzle Cake, thank you Jacques 😘😘

The sun was still shining when I left Bristol but unfortunately not for long, then the other wiper started playing up, the rubber bit came lose and was flapping around in the air 😳This made for a tense and interesting drive home through heavy rain, trying to get to Newquay before the bloody thing gave up completely, I made, just!

As I had got back in good time I was able to go to Nikki’s amazing Birthing Beads Necklace Party, so thrilled to have been there, it was a wonderful evening full of love and positivity. Nikki looked absolutely gorgeous. The Birthing Bead Necklace is made up of beads and other tokens that are sent from all her family and friends with special messages of love, strength and support and you have this with you when you give birth to hold all of that love and power close to you and your baby. It was really very special.

So I am now back home, starting to sort out my apartment and settle back into Newquay life. I am going to take a few days to have a rest and reflect on what an unbelievable adventure I have had.

Bye for now. 💖💖
